The Perfect Life by Erin Noelle

I had the perfect life.

The perfect husband.
Colin Cassidy—the incredibly talented, extremely gorgeous, and unbelievably humble star NFL quarterback.

The perfect career.
As the recently-appointed executive director for the Boston chapter of Mending Hearts, a child abuse prevention and treatment program, my daily reward was helping to keep vulnerable, innocent children from being preyed upon and destroyed. It’s all I’d wanted to do since I was a teenager.

Perfect city. Perfect car. Perfect house with the perfect view.

From the outside looking in, it was impossible to find a single flaw in my life. I had it all. Everything I’d ever wanted.

But that kind of perfection came at a price.
Demanded the ultimate sacrifice.

What happened when I discovered what I’d been missing all along?
When I began to question if the lies were worth protecting?

What if suddenly the last thing I wanted was to be perfect?

Review:
I still remember the first time I read an Erin Noelle book, afterwards I was talking about it for days with book friends. The characters were so easy to fall in love with and the story flowed so effortlessly it was easy to follow and become lost in.
After first seeing the blurb for The Perfect life, I was expecting the same kind of brilliance I have read in the authors previous works and whilst the chapters flowed well, I just couldn't connect with the characters and found the story to be predictable. There were still moments where my emotions were hit hard by parts of the story, but I never fully became invested in it as a whole. I'm not quite sure exactly what it was, maybe it was the lack of angst because of the predictability, but I was never blown away, like I have been with the authors other works.
Although the story wasn't for me, Erin Noelle is still most definitely on the one-click list, plus I'm sure that many other readers will love The Perfect Life as it is still a well told story.
