I've just recently finished reading A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole..."and my heart almost burst." I've read lots of great romances, though there are only a special few, for me, that stand out just that little bit more above the rest, so unique and stunning that when it comes to love they capture every single emotion a heart can feel. A Thousand Boy Kisses did all of that and more. It not only made me feel all the weight and weightlessness of what love is, but forced me to see life through the eyes of two of the most perfectly crafted characters to ever have been born from the beauty of ink upon page.

Poppy was like this burst of light, a captivatingly beautiful thinker who had the most amazing perspective of the world, that just created such warmth in my heart when reading her thoughts and feelings. It was impossible not to become lost in the pages that described life with such an exuberance, that every image, every moment had purpose, even the ones that had the ability to break the spirit. Poppy's wonderful outlook, not only gave readers a sense of how magnificently she viewed the world but it made it easy to fall in love with her and believe why all the important characters of her life, did too; it was Poppy's love of Rune and his of her that added another truly spectacular element to this story.
“When you’re near, my heart doesn’t sigh, it soars,” she whispered, as if she didn’t want to disturb the sound. “I think hearts beat a rhythm like a song. I think, that just like music, we’re drawn to a particular melody. I heard your heart’s song, and yours heard mine.”
Right away when Rune and Poppy met, there was an instant connection that only strengthened over time as they came to know more and more about each other, including with almost one-hundred percent accuracy each facial expression that crossed the others features. As they fell in love, I fell in love with their story, learning more about who they were and feeling the hurt, happiness and all other emotions that came along with them. There were tears of laughter, rivers of sadness, anger and joy, all a result of the impact this book had upon my heart; how could it not with a love story such as Rune and Poppy's...

When Poppy and Rune were together they felt love with every part of who they were, so much so that they became more than just the pages, they were the stutters and stops, the racing and rhythm of a heartbeat. Tillie Cole brought them to life and made it impossible for readers not to be able to connect with them. She did it with a story of love and a story of life, with words that left me in awe of her brilliance in capturing the beauty of every moment.

A Thousand Boy Kisses wrapped it's words around my heart and they will forever remain anchored there, it was an adventure no one could forget and I look forward to revisiting it in the future.
