Pretty Instinct by S.E. Hall

“If opposites attract, then I am nothing. Because you, you are everything.”

There’s no easy road traveled to such an intense sentiment, one I never dreamt I’d feel…

But I also never planned on Cannon Blackwell climbing aboard my tour bus.

Amanda's Review:

So when I like certain parts in a book I highlight them, using different colors for different emotions, pink for the sentences and paragraphs that make my heart go all gooey, yellow for what makes me laugh out loud, orange for what makes my heart ache and blue, my favorite color, highlights pure flipping genius. Let me tell you now the copy I have of Pretty Instinct by S.E Hall on my kindle is an ocean of blue beneath a pink, orange and yellow sunset not a white cloud in sight. Every single word a beautiful sight, warming the soul and leaving you thankful that such magnificence exists. There is even a common dirty word mentioned in this book, that I have hated ever since first hearing it and usually I cringe anytime it is used in real life or fiction, but not in this story. Every word twines together perfectly, a tapestry with no imperfections.

The Characters of Pretty instinct are some of my absolute favorites. Liz is a strong and independent woman, she takes crap from no one and goes above and beyond for the people she cares about. The chemistry she shares with Cannon Blackwell is electric, although any woman would feel drawn to this man. He has a fantastic body, great dress sense and facial expressions that have Liz feeling weak at the knees, not only that but his personality is magnetic pulling you in closer and closer wanting to know more and more about him. Connor, Liz's brother, has the purest heart and just has this way of bringing a smile to your face even though your heart aches for him at the same time. The friendships in this book are awesome, S.E Hall has this way of writing that makes you feel like you are part of the gang knowing all the personalities and emotions of each character, making you feel as though they have been a part of your life for years.

My heart felt heavy reading about the struggles that each of the characters went through, then fluttery reading the developing relationship between Lizzie and Cannon. I smiled when some relationships were healed and questions were answered, when the characters were freed of the troubles that weighed heavy upon their minds. The ending made me laugh and cry with happiness, it was just so perfect.

The characters and storyline are amazing, both original and captivating, every little detail is breath taking, without a doubt Pretty Instinct is now one of my all time favorite reads.

I want to read it now all over again but for now I have to go to work with one serious book hangover.

❤️Amanda
