Rhythm of my Heart by Velvet Reed

Grace Rivers is your everyday twenty-five year old. She could have the world at her feet, but instead chooses to help run the family business. After experiencing great loss early in her life, Grace values what's most important: her family and friends. But she aches to find that certain someone—that one great, passionate love who values family as much as she does.

Cole Tierney loves his life. He has a wonderful family, a loyal best friend and a successful career as an ER doctor. The only downside is he wants someone to share it with. After being used and left heartbroken, he wants to find someone who will love him for him and not his or his family's status.

"Every beat my heart makes is for you. Every time it beats faster it's because of you—because you're near me, because of your smile—because you take my breath away."

Their two hearts collide by chance and an undeniable connection is quickly made.

But when others are plotting against their happiness, will their love flatline, or will the rhythm of their hearts continue to beat as one?

After just finishing this book, I had to stop by and review it straight away, as I want to tell the world how great it is.

I was very impressed when I learnt this was Velvet Reeds debut book, it has a great storyline, with characters that I instantly fell in love with, even the villain. Actually, especially the villain, as she is so deliciously evil, that I loved reading her part. (even though I wanted to punch her hard in the face)!

Gracie meets the dreamy Dr Cole Tierney in the ER room at the hospital and there is an instant connection. From there we are taken on their (sometimes rocky) journey of discovering love. The supporting cast are just as loveable as the main 2, with their friends, Sam and Ash keeping me very entertained with their constant banter. Lots of laugh out loud moments when they are in the story.

Rhythm Of My Heart had everything I look for, and love, in a book. There was so much emotion in this book, I had several 'cry baby' episodes while reading, where I had to stop to get myself together before resuming. I was cheering in certain parts, and in others, I was screaming NO WAY!!! I became so invested in this book and the characters, that I can't wait to see where Velvet Reed will take us next.

Do yourself a favour and buy this book today.

5 HUGE Stars!
